Welcome to Emory CAMP!

The Emory Coalition for Applied Modeling for Prevention (CAMP) is designed to create and adapt models to improve public health decision-making at the national, state, and local levels. Our work focuses on five areas: HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis and school/adolescent health. The project will produce scientifically valid models, manuscripts of models’ designs and results, and web-accessible tools to help public health organizations understand costs of disease and interventions, allocate resources, prioritize interventions, and estimate the impact of prevention programs. The CAMP Team is comprised of epidemiologists, economic and infectious disease modelers, clinicians, economists, and health department representatives with substantial experience developing models for public health departments. The project is supported by a 5-year cooperative agreement funded by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC/NCHHSTP).
